Planning to join us for the Clovis West 50th Anniversary Celebration Weekend? We’ve gathered answers to some of the questions we’re hearing most often. We can’t wait to celebrate 50 years of Clovis West with you!

MAIN EVENT TICKETS & REGISTRATION

Q: Are tickets to the CW 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 17 sold out?

No! Tickets are still available. The Early Bird price of $75 has ended, but tickets are currently $85 per person through October 16. Tickets purchased at the door will be $95 per person.

Q: Can I wait and buy my ticket at the door?

Yes, but we strongly encourage you to purchase your ticket in advance. We need to provide our caterer with an accurate headcount two weeks before the event.

Q: Do former faculty, staff and coaches have to purchase tickets?

No! Former Clovis West faculty, staff and coaches from 1976–1985 are our VIP guests and attend FREE, along with one spouse or plus-one.
However, each person must register so we have an accurate headcount and can prepare name badges.

Q: How do I register or purchase tickets?

Visit CW50.org and select Alumni Registration or Faculty Registration from the links at the top of the page. You will be taken to the appropriate registration/payment page.

Q: What if I can’t afford a ticket? Is assistance available?

Thanks to the generosity of fellow alumni, we have received a limited number of donations to help classmates who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please contact us. We want to help make it possible for as many classmates as we can to celebrate with us.

Q: Can I donate to help another classmate attend?

Absolutely—and thank you! Donations from alumni are helping make it possible for classmates who need a little assistance to attend.

SATURDAY NIGHT MAIN EVENT

Q: When and where is the CW 50th Anniversary Celebration Main Event?

Saturday, October 17, 2026

Q: What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 6:00 PM. We recommend arriving early to check in, pick up your name badge, and have plenty of time to reconnect with old friends before dinner and the evening’s activities begin.

Q: Where do I enter?

Our celebration will be held in the Liberty Ballroom inside the Clovis Veterans Memorial District building. Follow the CW50 signs once you enter the building.

Q: Do I need to bring my ticket?

Yes. Please bring your ticket, either printed or on your phone, if possible. We will also have a master registration list at check-in.

Each attendee must have a ticket or confirmed registration.

Q: Can my spouse, partner or plus-one attend?

Yes! Spouses, partners and guests are welcome as long as they have their own ticket or registration.
The Saturday evening Main Event is for adults age 21 and over because alcohol will be served on the premises.

Q: Will there be name tags?

Yes—and these aren’t ordinary name tags! Whenever possible, we are creating name badges featuring your old high school photo to make recognizing one another a little easier after all these years. You’ll pick up your badge when you check in. Don’t worry if we don’t have an old photo for you—you’ll still receive a name badge.

Q: What should I wear?

Think comfortable but festive! Cocktail attire or business casual are both appropriate. Most importantly, wear something you’ll feel comfortable celebrating, visiting and dancing in.

DINNER, DRINKS & DIETARY NEEDS

Q: What’s on the menu?

We’re serving a Build-Your-Own Pasta Bar Buffet, including:

• Angel hair and penne pasta
• Alfredo and marinara sauces
• Sliced grilled chicken breast
• Fresh julienne zucchini with butter and black pepper
• Garden green salad with red onions, cucumbers, candied walnuts and dry bleu cheese, served with balsamic vinaigrette
• Assorted gourmet dinner rolls and sliced breads with butter
• Petite fruit kabobs
• Iced tea and water

And save room for something sweet—we’ll also have a Candy Bar with assorted treats!

Q: Will there be a bar?

Yes. We will have a no-host cocktail bar. Your Main Event ticket includes one drink ticket. Additional drink tickets may be purchased at the bar during the event.

 

Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know in advance if you have dietary restrictions or special dietary needs, including gluten-free or dairy-free needs. Use the Contact Us page on CW50.org or email LaRondaZupp@gmail.com. We will work with our caterer to accommodate special dietary needs as best we can.

COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN

Q: I’m traveling from out of town. Where should I stay?

 

We’ve created a list of lodging options near the event venue for your consideration. You’ll find it on the Main Event page under the flyer, titled "Lodging."

 

We do not have an official hotel block or discounted hotel rate associated with the event, but we’ve provided several conveniently located options to make planning your trip easier.

SILENT AUCTION

Q: I have something I’d like to donate to the Silent Auction. Who should I contact?

Wonderful! We appreciate donations of merchandise, services, gift certificates and other items.

Q: Is my Silent Auction donation tax-deductible?

 

The CW50 organizing group is not currently a nonprofit organization, so donations are not tax-deductible.

 

Q: How will my donation be recognized?

We would be delighted to showcase your donation, product or business. Silent Auction donors will receive written recognition during the celebration and in our Silent Auction materials as valued supporters of this milestone event.

 

Q: Where will the Silent Auction proceeds go?

 

Proceeds will first help us purchase and present a commemorative gift to Clovis West in honor of its 50th anniversary. We are currently considering a bronze plaque to be placed on campus. Any additional proceeds will help offset expenses associated with our CW50 weekend events.

Q: How does the Silent Auction work?

 

You must attend the CW 50th Anniversary Main Event on October 17 to participate. Silent Auction items will be displayed during the evening with bid sheets. Guests may write down their bids throughout the designated bidding period. We’ll announce when bidding is about to close. Once bidding has ended and winning bids have been confirmed, winners will pay for and take home their items that evening.

CLOVIS WEST CAMPUS TOUR & GROUP PHOTO

We encourage everyone to arrive around 10:00 AM for opening announcements, T-shirt pickup and information about touring campus on your own or with student guides.

Q: Does the Campus Tour cost anything?

 

No. It’s FREE!

 

Q: Can I bring my family or friends?

 

Absolutely! Family members and friends are welcome to join us for the Campus Tour at no charge.

Q: When and where is the big group photo?

Our CW50 Group Photo will be taken at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 17 in the Clovis West Cafeteria.

 

If you pre-purchased a CW50 Anniversary T-shirt, you may pick them up that morning at Clovis West and we’d love for you to wear it for the group photo!

 

Q: Will restrooms be available so I can change into my CW50 T-shirt?

Yes. Restrooms will be open for our use during the Campus Tour from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Q: How will I receive my T-shirt?

T-shirts are pickup only. You will have several opportunities to get yours:

September 17 — Clovis West Student Store

September 18 — Homecoming game, outside the VMS Stadium ticket entrance

October 16 — at the Clovis West Student Store 

 

October 17 — During the CW50 Campus Tour

If you’re planning to join us for the October 17 group photo, be sure to pick up your shirt beforehand so you can wear it for the photo!

FRIDAY NIGHT MEET & GREET MIXER

Q: When and where is the Meet & Greet Mixer?

Q: Do I need to buy a ticket for the Mixer?

 

No! There are no tickets and no cover charge for our CW50 Meet & Greet. Drinks and pub food are available for individual purchase.

Want to stay later? The venue may have live music, making it a great way to keep your Friday night going.

Q: Can I bring my spouse, partner, friend or plus-one?

Yes! Guests are welcome. Please remember that the Meet & Greet is for adults only.

SUNDAY ALUMNI GOLF TOURNAMENT

 

Q: When and where is the Alumni Golf Tournament?

Q: How do I register for golf, and how much does it cost?

Visit CW50.org and select "Golf Tournament" from the links at the top of the page. You’ll be taken to the registration page, where you can register and pay the $55 event fee.

 

Q: Do I need to already have a golf partner or team?

 

No. You may pre-select your team when registering, or Phil Hickey will assign you to a team if you don’t already have one. The format will include two 2-player teams per hole.

WANT TO HELP?

 

Q: Is there any way I can volunteer to help with CW50?

YES! We would love your help. As we head into the final stretch, we need extra hands with several things, including:

• Main Event setup
• Cleanup after the event
• Trucks and drivers to help transport items from Clovis West to the Veterans Memorial building and back
• A location for a pre-event work party where we can assemble centerpieces
• Temporary storage space for decorations before and after the Main Event until they can be returned to Clovis West on Monday, October 19.

• Help with the Silent Auction and Ticket table to relieve workers.

 

Whether you can give us a few hours, lend us a truck, provide some space or simply pitch in where needed, we appreciate you!
